Rising Scholars Spreads Holiday Spirit with "Trunk-or-Treat" Event!
10/26/26

Porterville College's Rising Scholars Club brought back some fantastic, family-friendly
fun with their second "Spooktacular Trunk or Treat" on Thursday, October 21st.
Even the spooky weather couldn't stop the fun after the event was moved inside to
a new (and dry) location. Held in the PC Student Center, this free event was once again a huge success, providing a safe and fun place for
local children and families to celebrate the season.
This event, which was open to students, faculty, staff, and the wider community, showcases the incredible spirit and creativity of our Rising Scholars.
Student Clubs, Athletes, and other campus and community organizations went all out,
decorating tables instead of car trunks in imaginative and festive ways to serve as
candy stations. It was a wonderful display of campus collaboration and community outreach!
Kids came out from all over, enjoying a variety of activities beyond the trick-or-treating.
There was candy, music, and plenty of games and some great prizes.
The Rising Scholars Club's brilliant idea continues to bring this community event to life, turning the campus
into a vibrant, exciting hub of Halloween fun. It was a memorable evening of candy,
dancing, games, and more, reinforcing the strong connection between Porterville College
and our local community.
